Celebrity Big Brother: India Willoughby said she didn't like drag queens because she's scared of them

India Willoughby left housemates feeling awkward this week when she cried in the Celebrity Big Brother house because Andrew Brady dressed up in drag.

The transgender journalist declared that she had a fear of drag queens and was unhappy that drag artist Courtney Act was dressing up one of the boys in the house.

However, OK! Online can exclusively reveal that India definitely did not have any phobia of drag queens when she gushed over them last year.

Crudi Dench, of the Haus of Dench, told OK! Online how India approached them at a Pride event and even asked to have a picture with them.

"We met at an event called Pride in Diversity in Harrogate, Harrogate’s first Pride festival in a couple of years," said Crudi. We had just got off the parade bus when we met India in the café at Valley Gardens Park where the bar was set up.

"She was lovely! We were planning our main stage performance when she approached us and asked for photos, which we happily obliged to. She seemed excited to be there."

Crudi, who as part of Haus of Dench, which is a group of drag acts and comedians who perform across the country at pride festivals, continued: "I'm not one to throw shade when it comes to such issues, however mentioning that she had 'never been to a pride event' is an actual lie."

India called drag queen Crudi one of "the fab ladies"

Despite India's rocky start to CBB, Crudi thinks she can still be a force for good in the house.

"I think she has the potential to be a positive role model for the LGBT community. It is fantastic that LGBT issues are being discussed so openly on national TV, as gender and sexuality are sometimes complex issues to understand, especially for those who do not define as LGBTQ+.

"Even within this community such debates can get quite heated, but it’s been wonderful to see India and Shane J / Courtney Act discuss these issues so calmly."
